The Pleasure State is a network of offerings by sex educator and sound practitioner Montana Kimel, grounded in pleasure activism and its histories.

We believe everyone should have the freedom to safe sexual expression and exploration without shame. The Pleasure State is rooted in the fight for queer liberation, erotic independence, disability justice, and body sovereignty for all.

Pleasure is intrinsic, but it’s not always accessible. Many of us spend our lives feeling disconnected from our bodies because the stories we were told no longer resonate.  For this reason, somatic awareness and creative storytelling are at the core of what we do.
